Holding company celebrates its first year of activity with a diversified portfolio and new launches in the Services, Real Estate and Healthcare sectors
Inspired Orbit SGPS marks its first anniversary as a holding company, consolidating a trajectory defined by sustainable growth and the diversification of investments across strategic sectors such as healthcare, services, investment funds and income-generating real estate.
Headquartered in Leça da Palmeira, in the district of Porto, the holding company’s main shareholders are Manuel João Preto and Tensai Industria. Its mission is to promote the sustainable growth of the companies in which it holds participations, providing them with the financial and human resources required to develop their activities.
“The incorporation of Inspired Orbit SGPS represents a natural step in the group’s growth strategy. This structure allows us to create synergies between different businesses, optimise the management of our shareholdings and ensure that each company benefits from best market practices. The first year exceeded our expectations,” says Manuel João Preto, the company’s majority investor.
In the Healthcare sector, the main highlight of the year was the launch of the new Neuropsychiatry and Mental Health Centre at Casa de Saúde de Santa Catarina (CSSC). Founded in 1932, this historic institution underwent a full renovation promoted by IOL Saúde.
“It is a major challenge in a sector that is in clear need of specialised healthcare services such as those provided by this institution, which we expect to become a successful benchmark,” he adds.
In the Services sector, Innovative Orbit Services stands out as a company specialising in services for the real estate sector, with extensive experience in the development, construction and commercialisation of real estate assets, as well as in the management of those assets when retained in portfolio.
Although recently established, this business unit benefits from a substantial body of experience accumulated over many years and multiple real estate projects led by its team. Its services cover the design and implementation of business models, promotion and marketing strategies, and the comprehensive management of all phases of real estate developments. These include design, construction, supervision and licensing, as well as the efficient management of assets in operation or in the post-sale phase.
In the area of real estate linked to healthcare activities, the holding’s activity is reflected in healthcare-focused real estate projects conceived and implemented by IOL Saúde. This approach follows a prevailing national and international trend in the healthcare sector, whereby the real estate and operational components of healthcare businesses are structured into separate entities, each supported by specialised teams.
In addition to owning the property in which Casa de Saúde de Santa Catarina currently operates, IOL Saúde will also be responsible for the construction of new healthcare units, in line with the planned development of Casa de Saúde de Santa Catarina’s activities.
